What is collected, why, and how to have it removed

Who operates this site
Ads Conversion Audit is operated by Jose Tabbada from the Philippines and provides services to businesses internationally.
There is one person behind it. Enquiries, reports and any request about your data all reach the same mailbox: jose@adsconversionaudit.com.
What this website collects
Two separate things, and they behave differently.
What you send deliberately
If you submit the Free Ads Conversion Check form, the website URL, business name, email address and any note you wrote are stored so the check can be run and the report sent. Where your visit came from an advertisement, the click identifier described in the table below is stored alongside it, so the enquiry can be connected to the advertisement that produced it.
Nothing in that form is sent anywhere until you press the button. The form has no third-party spam service behind it. A hidden field and the time taken to fill the form in are used instead, because adding a third-party request to this site would be the first thing an inspection of it reported.
How the site itself is measured
The site records how its pages are used: which pages were visited, how far down them you scrolled, where the pointer moved, where you clicked, which form field you were on when you stopped, whether that field was valid, and how quickly the pages loaded.
What is typed is never recorded. The measurement knows the name of a form field and whether its contents passed validation. There is no code path in it that reads a field's value, so this is a property of how it is built rather than a promise about how it is used.
Where sessions are replayed to understand a page, the replay is reconstructed by redrawing the recorded pointer positions, clicks and scrolling over a copy of the page saved when the site was built. Your screen is not recorded, and nothing rendered in your browser is transmitted.

Everything this site stores in your browser is listed here. Entries marked as set by Google only appear if you have allowed measurement and the relevant Google tag is active.

In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, nothing above is set and no Google tag is allowed to store or read anything until you choose. Elsewhere, measurement runs by default and you can decline at any time. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal from your browser is treated as a decline everywhere, whether or not any law requires it.
Checks run on websites that did not ask for one
Part of this business involves checking publicly observable behaviour on the websites of businesses that are currently advertising, and then writing to them about what was found. If you received an email of that kind, this is what happened.
The check visits your website the way any visitor would. No login is used, nothing is changed, and nothing is accessed beyond what your site serves to the public. What is kept is the observation, the website address, and the business contact details needed to write to you.
Nothing identifying a checked business is ever published. Where findings appear on this site, every identifying detail is removed and no business is named, whether or not they ever became a client.
If you would rather no record of your business existed here, say so and it will be deleted. No justification is needed and nothing further will be sent.
Where the data goes
A small number of services are involved in running this site. Each one only receives what it needs to do its part.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for anyone else's advertising. There is no data broker, no enrichment service, and no third party receiving your details for their own purposes.
How long things are kept
- Enquiries are kept as a business record, because they are the history of who asked for what and what was sent back. Deleted on request.
- Detailed site measurement, meaning individual clicks, pointer movements and form-field events, is deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Aggregate measurement, which counts things without identifying anyone, is kept indefinitely.
- Records of businesses checked but never contacted are deleted once the observation is no longer current, or immediately on request.
The phone number on this site
Calls are not recorded, tracked, attributed or measured. What is measured is a click on the number. That someone tapped it, not that a call took place or anything about it.
The distinction is laboured here on purpose. This business examines whether other companies confuse an intention with an outcome, so it does not get to blur the same line on its own site.
What you can ask for
A copy of what is held about you, a correction, or deletion. Email jose@adsconversionaudit.com and say which. There is no form, no account and no justification required, and it is answered by a person.
You can also change your mind about measurement at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which returns you to being asked.
Changes to this page
The date at the top changes when the substance does. This page is versioned alongside the rest of the site, so what it said on any given day is a matter of record rather than recollection.
Why did you check my website without being asked?
Because the check only looks at what your website shows any visitor, and because sending an unsolicited email with a specific, real observation in it seemed better than sending one without.
No login was used, nothing was changed, and no data of yours was accessed beyond what your site serves publicly. If you would rather that record did not exist, ask and it will be deleted.
What does this website collect about me?
Two things. Analytics, which measure how the site is used: pages, scroll depth, where people click, which form field they stopped at, and how fast the pages loaded. And whatever you type into the enquiry form, which is only ever sent because you pressed the button.
The behaviour analytics never record what you type. Field names and whether a field was valid are recorded; values are not, and there is no code path that could read them.
How do I ask for my data to be deleted?

That applies to an enquiry you submitted, and equally to a record about a business that was checked and never contacted us.
Do you record or track calls to your phone number?
No. Calls are not recorded, tracked, attributed or measured in any way.
